Through the Internship Program, we aim to develop high-potential graduates into strong consulting professionals by providing them with hands-on experience and exposure to real-world problem-solving and consulting work across Africa.
About the Program
The Future Africa Consulting Internship Program is a structured 3–6-month program. Interns work directly with FA Consulting’s teams on client engagements across policy, markets, ecosystems, and development-focused initiatives in Africa, while also contributing to core internal research and knowledge-building initiatives that shape the firm’s thinking and delivery. The program combines hands-on project delivery with structured learning, mentorship, and regular feedback. Interns are embedded within project teams and contribute meaningfully to research, analysis, and client-facing outputs.
Expectations
Interns will support consulting teams across multiple engagements and internal initiatives. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting desk research and literature reviews
- Supporting sector, market, and ecosystem mapping
- Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data
- Drafting research summaries, memos, and sections of client reports
- Supporting proposal development and business development research
- Taking structured notes during meetings and synthesizing insights
- Supporting knowledge management and internal research repositories

- Mid-point and end-of-program performance reviews
Who Can Apply
We welcome applications from:
- Recent undergraduate or postgraduate graduates (completed their degree within the last 12 months) who are currently based in Kenya.
- Early-career candidates with less than one year of full-time work experience.
- Candidates with academic backgrounds in economics, public policy, business, data science, statistics, social sciences, or related fields.
- Individuals with strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.
- Candidates with an interest in consulting, development, and African markets.
